![]() Using it in guitar rig directly will not give you any delay, Guitar rig gives you a LIVE expirience, its basically an amp simulator, which you need if you want to record your guitar with effects distortion etc. I know it can be difficult for someone who just started using DAWs, but product without a driver is just like a driver without a product, useless.Īnd yes, using audio interface in DAW will definetly give you a slight delay, but nothing scary. Try, if you still cant find it, dont hesitate to reply here again. It just uses its own ASIO instead of generic ASIO4ALL I dont even have that interface but i wanted to check if its a legit driver for you haha, and it is. I downloaded it and installed it, it automatically installed its ASIO with it, and it shows in my Reaper>Devices,i selected ASIO, and it gives me ASIO UMC, UMC is the driver for your audio interface. One is for older windows, one is for 7-10 windows, and the third one just says windows drivers, and i dont really know what that is, go for windows 7-10 Scroll a bit down and find UMC204HD software for windows 7-10, there are only 3 drivers given, so, you cant really miss it. Okay so i went to their website, actually i googled ''UMC204HD drivers'' and it took me to their website, so, go there, you will see a 'DOWNLOAD' drop menu in upper part of the screen, click downloads>select product groups>audio interface>main category>USB audio interface>subcategory>all>product> UMC204HD>type>software>subtype>drivers usb audio. Thats why you have an audio interface, its preamped. Micing the amp is probably the most expensive and best way to go, but you wont get a good sound unless your room is acoustic, soundproof, you know how to place your mic, you have the appropriate mic. On my current audio interface, which is focusrite scarlett, for some reason i cant use speakers, i can only use monitor output, and to this day, i dont know why. ![]() If you're a fellow guitar player as well, download the guitar rig 5, its not free but it has demo mode, and try your audio interface there. I myself play guitar through my audio interface, i changed probably 5 of them, one thing i learned is, having delay is normal but it should be playable, minor delay is normal. Right click the sound icon (down right corner of your screen) click on either the recording devices, or playback devices, the box will appear, right-click anywhere in the box, then click 'show disabled devices' (your ASIO may be disabled in your system) If you use Windows operating system do this.go to Reaper>devices and see if there is your audio interface listed, if it is not listed, then it means you dont have appropriate drivers for your audio interface OR your device is disabled (next step). To me, it seems that this problem has nothing to do with the Reaper, i think the best way to go about this is ![]() We'd love to hear what you have produced with Reaper, but please post it in the weekly sticky.
